Mark graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical in London and subsequently trained in London. His training in specialist orthopaedics was based around the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore with spells at Royal Free and Royal London Hospitals including experience at the latter’s trauma unit.
Having obtained the Orthopaedic Fellowship exam he spent 18 months developing subspecialist expertise in upper limb surgery focusing mainly on the shoulder and elbow, along with six months as a Fellow in Epsom. Now a Consultant at University Hospital Lewisham he has a subspeciality interest in upper limb surgery including trauma and has developed his interest in arthroscopic surgery particularly of the shoulder and elbow. His practice there specialises in sporting, degenerative and traumatic problems affecting the shoulder and elbow as well as common wrist and hand problems.
During his training, Mark researched, presented and published both nationally and internationally on orthopaedic problems affecting the hip and knee, more recently shifting his focus to the upper limb. He currently leads implementation of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training in the orthopaedic unit at Lewisham.
With its dedication to excellence in all aspects of orthopaedic and sports injury care, Mark feels Wimbledon Clinics provides an ideal new home for his specialist skills. We’re delighted to welcome him aboard.
