Patient satisfaction survey

August 2010

Wimbledon Clinics recently commissioned Picker Institute Europe to conduct a survey amongst 800 patients.

Picker Institute Europe is an independent, not for profit research and development institute with charitable status. It works with patients, professionals and policy makers to promote understanding of the patient’s perspective at all levels of healthcare policy and practice.

Amongst other activities, the Picker Institute runs a large number of patient and staff surveys for NHS Trusts. The aim of their recent study for Wimbledon Clinics was to assess patients’ perceptions of the care we provide. The survey includes those visiting the clinic up to mid October 2009. Here are just a few of the comments it captured:

  • I got the consultant I wanted for my knee problem.
  • I was impressed with their speed and professionalism.
  • I was dealt with professionally and with care.
  • I was confident I was getting the most professional service available.
  • All the staff were pleasant and welcoming.
  • My consultant had a good manner and gave me enough time.
  • I emailed a couple of questions and my consultant got back to me
    within the day.
  • They made appointments promptly and at convenient times.
