Ski Injury Clinic

Treatment

Resort Doctor

Resort doctors see many ski injuries. They will usually assess the problem and give advice regarding splints, crutches, painkillers, return travel etc. They will often X-ray the injured part. MRI scans and urgent surgery are rarely required. Unless your injury requires urgent treatment you will usually be advised to seek follow-up advice on your return home. They should give you copies of paperwork and X-rays to bring home with you. Do not delay seeking advice on your return home.

Wimbledon Clinics have specialists experienced in the treatment of skiers of all abilities. Our expertise and multi-disciplinary approach always ensures the highest standards of care.

Wimbledon Clinics - Tuesday Morning Ski Injury Clinic

If you have been injured whilst skiing we can offer rapid assessment and advice on your return. Our switchboard is open from 8am until 8pm on weekdays and Saturday mornings. We have Sports Injury clinics every weekday but during the winter we have a Ski Injury Clinic every Tuesday morning. This clinic has reserved spaces for returning injured skiers. Calling as late as Monday afternoon will mean you will be seen the next day in the Ski Injury Clinic. You will be thoroughly assessed by a Sports Physician experienced in the management of ski injuries. We will fast track your MRI, in most cases the same day. Specialist surgical and physiotherapy advice is on hand if required. A brace can be fitted, if required, on the same day.

Wimbledon Clinics has a large experience of treating ski injuries including increasing numbers of professional skiers. We now offer an extended rehabilitation service with our Return from Injury Ski Camp.
