Mr Jason Bernard MD FRCS (EdTr & Orth) qualified from Glasgow University in 1990 and completed his orthopaedic training at St George’s Hospital, London. He undertook a research fellowship at Sheffield University in 1995 leading to a Doctorate (MD) and completed clinical fellowships at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Brisbane, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, in specialist spinal surgery. He was appointed as
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at St George’s Hospital in 2004
and has special interest in spinal deformities (kyphosis and scoliosis),
spinal tumours, spinal fractures and nerve entrapments. During his time
at St George’s he has introduced minimum invasive vertebroplasty
for spinal tumours and disc replacement, both cervical and lumbar, for
degenerative spinal conditions. He is active in research and presents
his research at national meetings each year, most recently BOA in 2006. |
