- Do I pay at the time of the appointment?
You will be required to settle your account at the time of your appointment if you are self-funding your treatment.
- If I am insured, who will forward my invoices to the insurance company?
Wimbledon Clinics will forward all the invoices to the insurance company. Please ensure you keep us up to date with any relevant changes.
- Who contacts my insurance company to advise them of each stage of my treatment?
It remains the patient's responsibility to contact the insurance company. However the insurance companies will contact us with any queries relating to your treatment if necessary.
- What happens if I have an excess on my policy?
We will send the invoice directly to the insurance company. The patient and the clinic will be advised if there has been an excess deducted. Once notified, you will be required to settle the outstanding balance direct with Wimbledon Clinics.
- How long do I wait between diagnosis and surgery?
This is approximately between 1 – 3 weeks and is dependent on various factors, including the patients’ preference.
- Can I have a scan before I see the consultant?
You be asked to see the consultant prior to any diagnostic tests to ensure the care you receive is appropriate.
- What do I wear for the clinic appointment?
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your consultation and therefore it is advisable to wear loose fitting clothing for ease during examination.
- How long will the appointment take?
An initial consultation will take approximately 30 minutes. However, if your initial consultation is with the sports psychologist or specialist orthotist, you will be booked in for an hour. This will be confirmed to you at the time you make the appointment with us.
