Wimbledon Clinics helps tennis champion July 2008 Serbian tennis star Nenad Zimonjic fell awkwardly during a semi final in this summer's Wimbledon doubles championship and fractured the radial bone in his left wrist. Fortunately bad light meant he could come off court soon afterwards and receive treatment. He came to see Duncan Tennent, specialist orthopaedic surgeon at Wimbledon Clinics. Zimonjic returned to court the next day with his non-playing left wrist in a special splint and went on to win the semi final and then the final with his doubles partner Daniel Nestor. He later joked that having his wrist in a splint may have helped him toss the ball straighter for his serves!
