Teaching Advances in Shoulder Surgery

Live Demonstration from St Georges. Mr Duncan Tennent has just performed a live surgical link-up for medical students at St George's Hospital Medical School demonstrating surgical safety and teamworking. He is also leading a Royal College of Surgeons course teaching basic surgical skills to junior doctors.

Pioneering ACJ technique presented . Mr Tennent has just returned from San Diego where he presented the results of his pioneering technique for the treatment of acromioclavicular joint injuries to an international meeting of orthopaedic surgeons.

 

Last December,
Mr Tennent, went to Greece to lecture on the arthroscopic treatment of large rotator cuff tears and acromioclavicular joint dislocations to an international audience at the International Symposium on Arthroscopy and Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Shoulder. He also taught practical techniques using advanced arthroscopy simulation equipment.
